BARCAMP – DAS EINMALEINS
Bar…Was? Du warst noch nie bei einem BarCamp und weißt nicht, was Dich erwartet? Das hat wenig mit Bars und Zelten zu tun, aber es gibt doch Gemeinsamkeiten: garantiert keine Langeweile, sondern jede Menge Offenheit und Austausch!
BARCAMP - THE BASICS
Bar...What? You have never been to a BarCamp and don't know what to expect? Although it has nothing in common with bars and tents, there are similarities: definitely no boredom, but a lot of open mindedness and exchange!
WAS IST EIN BARCAMP?
Bei einem BarCamp gibt es kein fertiges Programm wie bei üblichen Konferenzformaten. Genau deshalb nennt man sie auch Unkonferenzen. Es gibt nur einen groben Rahmen mit Session-Zeitfenstern, die erst beim BarCamp selbst mit Inhalten gefüllt werden. Das heißt konkret: alle sind eingeladen, Themen und Inputs einzubringen und damit den Austausch und die Diskussion in den Sessions mitzugestalten. Wichtig ist: alle begegnen sich auf Augenhöhe und sind nie nur Teilnehmende, sondern immer auch TeilGEBENDE!

WHAT IS A BARCAMP?
At a BarCamp, there is no ready-made program as in usual conference formats. This is exactly why they are called unconferences. There is only a general framework with session time slots, which are only then filled with content at the BarCamp itself. In concrete terms, this means that everyone is invited to contribute topics and content and thus help shape the exchange and discussion in the sessions. The important thing is: everyone meets at eye level and is never just a participant, but always also a GIVER!

BARCAMP-REGELN
Wie jetzt – Regeln?! Das soll doch alles locker sein?! Eben! Deshalb gilt:
- Sprich über das BarCamp – gerne auch auf Social Media mit #DHBWResearchNow
- Stelle Dich vor Ort selbst mit drei Hashtags vor
- Es gibt keine vorher festgelegten Präsentationen
- Themen und Diskussionen können in Deutsch und Englisch stattfinden
- Es gibt so viele parallele Sessions, wie es Räume gibt, und eine Session dauert so lange, bis die nächste beginnt (max. 45 Minuten)
- Alle Themen, die mindestens eine*n Interessent*in finden, finden statt
BARCAMP RULES
What now - rules?! It's all supposed to be casual, right?! Exactly! Therefore applies:
- Talk about the BarCamp - also on social media with the tag #DHBWResearchNow
- Introduce yourself on site with three hashtags
- There are no predetermined presentations
- Topics and discussions can be held in German and English
- There are as many parallel sessions as there are rooms, and one session lasts until the next one starts (max. 45 minutes)
- All topics finding at least one interested person will take place

Damit das BarCamp ein Erfolg ist, hat jede*r nicht nur die Möglichkeit, sondern auch die Aufgabe, eigene Themen und Aspekte ihrer Forschung einzubringen. Das können Ideen, Fragen, Tools, Theorien, Methoden, Erfahrungen und noch viel mehr sein – und das darf auch in allen möglichen Formaten erfolgen, zum Beispiel Workshops, Diskussionen, Inputvorträgen, Pitches und, und, und...
Im Idealfall überlegst Du Dir schon im Vorfeld, was Du konkret vorstellen möchtest. Aber auch vor Ort können noch spontan Themen entwickelt werden.

To ensure that the BarCamp is a success, everyone has not only the
opportunity but also the task to contribute their own topics and aspects of their research. These can be ideas, questions, tools, theories, methods, experiences and much more - and this can be done in all possible ways, for example workshops, discussions, speeches, pitches and, and, and...
Ideally, you should think about what you want to present in advance. But topics can also be developed spontaneously on site.
WELCHE TOOLS SOLLTE ICH MITBRINGEN?
Bring mit, was Du brauchst, um Deinen Beitrag vorzustellen und um Dein Know-How im Workshop anderen weiterzugeben!
Es werden keine perfekten Präsentationen erwartet. Da Du spontan Ideen im BarCamp einbringst, brauchen wir natürlich auch keine Abstracts im Vorfeld. Wenn Du aber schon eine Idee für einen Beitrag hast und dabei auf Equipment vor Ort angewiesen bist, dann melde Dich gerne bei uns! Vor allem, wenn Du auch Aufbauzeit benötigst, sorgen wir gemeinsam dafür, dass diese Zeit nicht von der Session abgeht.

Along what you need to present your contribution and to pass on your expertise to others in your workshop!
Perfect presentations are not expected. Since you spontaneously bring ideas to the BarCamp, we don't need abstracts in advance. But if you already have an idea for a contribution and need equipment on site, please contact us! Especially if you also need setup time, we will make sure - together - not to lose this time from the session.
